Allow your end-users to rapidly access content on a suppliers' eCommerce website - this is ideal for large and/or dynamic catalogs, products with many configurations and options, and products that must be customized for your contracted pricing.
Through Puridiom's Web Catalog Punch Out, buyers use the Puridiom application to access supplier websites and find, select, and configure goods for purchase. Puridiom Web Catalog Punch Out routes quotes for items or services selected through the Puridiom application's established requisition and approval processes. The resulting Purchase Order is sent back to the supplier for order fulfillment. In this way, buyers can access suppliers' differentiated catalog content through their own procurement applications. Puridiom Web Catalog Punch Out streamlines the purchasing processes while providing a cost-effective way for suppliers to maintain their own distinct content.
How Does Catalog Punch Out work?
Puridiom’s Catalog Punchout feature makes it possible for a user to access a supplier's web site and catalog directly from within the Puridiom application. With our punchout system, the supplier hosts the catalog and shopping cart. When the user wishes to shop the supplier’s site, they “punchout” from the Puridiom procurement process site to the supplier’s shopping site. This process posts an XML message containing the buying organization and login credentials to the supplier’s server. The punchout server parses the information, validates it and returns an XML message containing a URL to shop the supplier’s site.
At this point a punchout session is setup with the supplier and the user begins to shop from the supplier’s site. Upon checkout, the site creates a cXML shopping cart message and posts the contents of the order to the Puridiom return URL. The order has not been created yet; however the user now has a requisition within Puridiom that can be submitted for internal approvals. When the requisition is fully approved, an auto-release order is automatically generated and Puridiom packages the order as a cXML purchase order request. This posts back to the supplier’s server for processing. The order is immediately processed and an initial response is returned to Puridiom.
